Day 26 - Numbers

Earlier in this month, my family and I celebrated my sisters 12th birthday in lockdown. I decided to take my numbers shoot on her birthday, as I wanted to document the day. I took photos of the candles on top of her cake, and also of her blowing them out. I used a narrow depth of field when shooting, as I wanted the focal point to be on the numbered candles. In editing, I experimented with the colours in the images, making some photos black and white and increasing the contrast in others. Although this is not my favourite shoot, I think that the images were successful. If I were to do this shoot again, I would make sure to use different angles and get more photographs, however I liked the way my images turned out and I think it is a nice way to remember my sisters birthday.
