Day 25 - Text

For day 25, the word we were given was 'text'. Earlier this month when I was looking for inspiration for my 'through' shoot, I found an image on instagram of someone shooting through a page of a book. The photographers name was Jordi Koalitic. I really wanted to take inspiration from the image that I found, and I thought it would work better for todays word than for 'through', so I took a page out of an old book and wrapped it around the lens of my camera. I then got my mum to model by holding up a book. I really like the way these images turned out, as there is a clear depth of field and the images are very sharp and high quality. In editing, I slightly turned up the exposure and saturation, however I wanted to keep the editing simple as I think that the photos are effective on their own. I also took another set of images of some books layed out on the floor; I really like the outcomes of these as you are able to clearly see the text in the books. The photos have a vintage effect, which I really like. Overall the photos from this shoot were successful.
