Day 24 - Tell a Story

For todays phrase "Tell a Story", I decided to document the story of my parents marriage. As of the 10th of June 2020, my parents will have been married for 25 years. I wanted to show a picture of them on their wedding day, so I took an existing photo from our living room and photographed it in the garden, around some beautiful flowers and plants. I think that by placing the photograph in the garden and almost reshooting the photo 25 years later was really effective. I then took photos of my parents today sat in the garden. I love the contrast between their wedding photo and the pictures that I took, as I think the images themselves tell a lovely story. Whist editing, I experimented with using black and white in some of my images as I think it gives off an older, almost vintage look that I liked. On one image, I took away the background colour so that only my parents were in colour, which establishes a clear focal point and makes the overall image more alluring; this image also turned out to be my favourite photo from todays shoot.
