Day 14 - Texture

For todays shoot, the word we were given was 'Texture'. I wanted to focus on the natural textures within nature, so I went out around where I lived to photograph close ups. The images I took were mostly of tree trunks, and focused on the texture of the bark. I really like how you are able to see the different colours, textures and shapes that are naturally carved into the tree. I tried different angles, but I found that an eye view angle worked best. Luckily, it was sunny today so I was able to capture the natural sunlight. To emphasise this, I decided to further increase the saturation and exposure in photoshop. For todays work, I was inspired by images I found online, however i was unable to find a photographer that specialised in taking textural photos of trees. I think that this was a successful shoot, and if I were to do things differently next time, I might zoom in further to smaller, more intricate sections of the trees and natural objects.
