Day 3 - Place

The topic given to us today was "Place". For this I decided to go out around my town and take photos of different types of houses. The concept behind this was that we are all spending a lot more time than usual at the moment at home, and I wanted to capture houses to imply that although this is a hard time for everyone, we need to take advantage of what we have and admit that we are lucky to have places to stay. I really like the contrast between the blue sky and brick houses, and I like the way that in some photos, the sun is shining through the trees, which emphases the beauty of the places and the nature that surrounds them. When editing, I zoomed closer to the houses so there was less empty space, which created a more homely sensation. I also turned up the exposure and contrast slightly.
For this shoot, I was inspired by a photographer called Ali Bosworth. Ali likes to photograph suburban areas and houses that are surrounded by nature. This photographer caught my eye as I was looking for inspiration for the word 'place', as her photos looked like they would be fun and interesting to recreate. Here is an example of Ali's work:
