This is one of my favourite images from shoot 03 because I think that it links well with both of my photographers work, as well as my own personal style. I like how the sun is shining onto the model, which has made the sky in the background a bright blue and the photo has a golden hue to it which is fascinating to the viewer. I think that in this photo I have successfully incorporated Arielle Bobb Willis and Barbara Kruger into my work, as the image looks professional and well thought out.

For this photo, I wanted to make yellow the main colour, which connotes feelings of happiness. I got my model to pose in an unconventional way, similar to how Arielle Bobb Willis does in her work, however the use of direct address and the close up shot links to Barbara Krugers work. The model is not smiling, which contrasts nicely with the colour palette of the photo. The sun is reflection on the models hair and face, which I think makes the image more memorable as the overall picture is brighter and more interesting.

I think that this image was successful as it has many conventions that the viewer would usually see in fashion photography, which might make them more interested and engaged in the photo. I like the way that the models hair is slightly covering her face, as it suggests a hidden identity, or perhaps implies that the model may be hiding her face intentionally to show the effects of how beauty standards can affect us. I like that in this photo you can see the background more, but the use of the close up shot links to my second photographer.

I think that this is one of my best images because I like that the sea and sky in the background compliment the models clothing, accessories and eyes. The image looks well thought out, and would draw in the viewer because of the colour palette. I think that the way the model is looking into the distance is effective as it could suggest that her mind and thoughts are somewhere else, which links to my ideas about issues in society and also Barbara Krugers work.

I think that what makes this image effective is the angle at which it was taken. I shot from below the model, slightly further away so that more of the sky in the background could be seen in the image. I like how the clothing of the compliments the colour of the sky, but is a slightly different shade of blue, as the viewer may be drawn to this. To incorporate Arielle Bobb Willis into this image, I got the model to put one of her hands above her head. One might say that it looks slightly awkward and out of place, which conforms to my first photographers work.

I like that in this photo, there is direct address which makes the overall image more personal, creating a connection with the viewer. The rule of thirds is used in the image, therefore I think it will be a good photo to edit with in the style of Barbara Kruger. I like that aspects of both of my photographers are included in this image.

I chose to shoot this image with the model in the centre of the page. I took it from a slightly lower angle so that the background was simple, making the model the focal point of the image. The models facial expressions and body language are what I think is most successful about this image because they convey a sense of freedom the the viewer may want to identify with. In this image its almost as if the model has forgotten about everything around her, and is perfectly happy, which I think is what would draw in the viewer, as they would feel the same way by looking at this photo.

In this image, I like that there is a clear depth of field in the photo; the sea and sky are a main part of the photo however the focal point is very clear to the viewer. The use of complementary colours is effective in the image, and also the use of the rule of thirds and the model being in the centre of the page makes the outcome more memorable. I like that the model is smiling in the picture as it gives the image a happy sensation. It may connote that the model feels comfortable and at home at the beach; they are able to forget about all the issues in society to do with beauty standards and body image. When I edit these photos, I would like the text to contrast with the mood of the photo; this image would be a perfect to use.
