This shoot was more of a challenge than I had anticipated, as it was hard to find an interesting background in the location. After a lot of trail and error, I managed to find the right angles and shot types that made the photo successful. I think that this photo is one of my best as I like that there is a clear rule of thirds in the photo. The composition looks very thought out and unique. I ended up incorporating an umbrella into my shoot as it was raining on this day. I think that it worked as a nice prop as it made the photos look busier and more interesting to the viewer. I think that this image looks similar to my artists work, as she typically shoots in random, suburban locations as well.

I think that using an umbrella as a prop in this photo looks really good as the dramatic black of the umbrella contrasts with the bright clothing my model has on. Furthermore, the umbrella is placed in front of the models face, as my photographer, Arielle Bobb Willis typically does not photograph the faces of her models in her work, the faceless images help to convey her struggles relating to anxiety and identity. I think that this image also conveys similar messages, as one might suggest that the model could feel insecure, due to the impossible beauty standards put on her by society. The background of this image also conveys society, which can be seen by the run down buildings and dull skies.

I think that this image is successful because I will be able to do a lot with it when editing this shoot. I plan on photoshopping the model into the mirror, as a way of exploring reflections and portraying the message that people with anxiety feel as if they have to 'put on a mask' in society in order to be 'valued'. I think that the models clothing stands out and is the focal point in this image, as the contrasting, awkward colour combination is interesting to the viewer.

I think that this photo is one of my favourites because I like the way that the yellow markings on the ground make the overall image more colourful and interesting. The photo looks busy and is almost overwhelming for the viewer, which reinforces ideas of anxiety. The models awkward and uncomfortable pose is inspired by the work of my photographer, as this is a common pose that Arielle Bobb Willis photographs in her own work. I also think that the use of the umbrella and the clouds in the sky add a dramatic effect to the photo.

For this photo, I wanted to try something different. So far in my shoots, I have focused on taking full body shots where the image focuses on the background and the clothing on the model. In this photo I wanted to take a close up portrait by shooting through the mirror. The model is touching her face, which is suggesting that she feels insecure and struggles with living up to what is perceived as 'beautiful' in our generation. I think that using a mirror as a prop and experimenting with reflections makes the photo more effective and will make the viewer think harder about the message that the photo has.

This image is successful as it follows the rule of thirds, which makes the outcome eye-catching to the viewer. I think that the use of colour is important in this photo, as at first glance the image might seem dull and gloomy due to the rain, however when the viewer looks closer they are able to see the different colours of the models outfit and also of the building and floor. The photo was captured mid movement, which I think is effective as it gives an authentic sensation that the viewer would like.

I think that this image is one of my best because I like the way I used the mirror to take this photo. I placed the mirror on the ground and shot through it. Although I did not anticipate the rain, I wanted to incorporate it into this shoot; in this photo the raindrops were falling onto the mirror so I used the umbrella as a prop to emphasise the bad weather. I like that there is a huge contrast from this shoot to my first, as in my first shoot it was a sunny day and the images were bright and colourful, however in this shoot I wanted to be more authentic as a way of showing the viewer that there is a way to find beauty in everything, even if it is a struggle.
